Build the Relationships That Open Doors
Business Development & Partnerships — Remote · Minimum 15 hours per week
About the Role
Most BD internships put you behind a list of contacts and a script you didn't write. You send emails someone else drafted, to people who weren't properly researched, and wonder why no one replies.
This isn't that.
myCandr is an early-stage AI company and we're building our partnership ecosystem from scratch. The relationships formed in the next 12 months will shape how we grow for years. We need someone who is genuinely energised by the commercial conversation — who gets a buzz from identifying the right partner, crafting the right pitch, and turning a cold introduction into a real opportunity.
If that sounds like you, we'd like to talk.
What You'll Work On
Partnership Development
Identify organisations, consultancies, and platforms that could become strategic partners. Understand what they need and build the case for why working together makes sense.
Outreach & Relationship Building
Get in front of the right people. Research prospects, craft compelling outreach, and start the conversations that become long-term relationships.
Commercial Strategy
Help us map the partnership landscape — who should we be working with, and why? What models make sense? Your thinking will directly inform how we approach growth.
Deal Support
Sit in on partner conversations and discovery calls. Learn how commercial relationships are built from the inside, not from a textbook.
Who You Are
- You think commercially — you instinctively understand value exchange and what makes a deal work
- You're energised by conversation and relationship, not intimidated by it
- You can research fast, identify the right people, and write an outreach message that actually gets a reply
- You're strategic: you think about the why before the what
- You want to be trusted with real relationships, not just handed a script
- You're resilient — BD involves rejection, and you treat it as data, not defeat
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Available for a minimum of 15 hours per week
What You'll Get
You'll have real commercial conversations with real decision-makers — no one else runs these for you. You'll be directly involved in shaping myCandr's partnership strategy from the ground up, working alongside the founders on the commercial thinking, not around it.
You'll build relationships you'll carry through your entire career, and gain the experience of building something — not maintaining something that already exists.
The partnerships you build here won't be a line on your CV — they'll be part of the foundation of a company. That's a different kind of experience.
